This UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) qualification is offered as an apprenticeship pathway and provides competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises. It includes ERAC requirements for an ‘Electrician’s licence’.

Credit can be provided for those having successfully completed competencies from the pre-vocational UEE22011 Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) program.


The UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) qualification consists of:

  • UEENEEG106A: Terminate cables, cords & accessories for low voltage circuits
  • UEENEEE137A: Document and apply measures to control OHS risks associated with electrotechnology work
  • UEENEEG101A: Solve problems in electromagnetic devices and related circuits
  • UEENEEG102A: Solve problems in low voltage A.C. circuits
  • UEENEEG103A: Install low voltage wiring and accessories
  • UEENEEG104A: Install appliance, switchgear and associated accessories for low voltage electrical installations
  • UEENEEG105A: Verify compliance and functionality of low voltage general electrical installations
  • UEENEEG107A: Select wiring system and cables for low voltage general electrical installations
  • UEENEEG108A: Troubleshoot and repair faults in low voltage electrical apparatus and circuits
  • UEENEEG109A: Develop and connect electrical control circuits

  • UEENEEG063A: Arrange circuits, control and protection for general electrical installations
  • UEENEEK142A: Apply environmental and sustainable procedures in the energy sector
