Mine site supervisor is made up of nationally recognised units of competency. Upon successful completion of this training, participants will have acquired the skills and knowledge to enable them to undertake the role of a Mine Safety Supervisor or Health Representative. It is an industry requirement that participants who obtain these competencies complete recertification training every 5 years.

Designed for those individuals wishing to perform the duties of a Supervisor or Mine Safety and Health Representative as detailed in the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act.

Certification

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Australian Skills Group.

National units of competency
